Program Manager-Lt. Doug Anderson. As the Stockton Police Department adopted Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS), we recognized the need to continue our commitment to our youth. We felt we could accomplish this by forming a direct line of communication between the Stockton Police Department and the youth of our community through recruiting more youths into the Junior Cadet Program. This program ultimate Police Officers and will help them develop responsibility, trust, teamwork, and other leadership characteristics. Qualifications for joining the Junior Cadet Program include the following: - Must be 14 to 18 years of age. - Must maintain a 2.0 grade-point average. - Must have no serious criminal history. - Must successfully complete the Junior Cadet Academy. Parents will be required to sign a release of waiver for all minors under the age of 18 years. Please Note: Fingerprinting check will be required. |
